National Heat Map released March 30, 2012

The DECC have just released an updated Heat Map, a tool vital for planning district heating networks. The map builds on the previous London Heat Map by including the rest of England.
The map, which integrates nicely with Google Maps, now includes layers for existing CHP and allows for downloading of data.

Earlier this month two major updates to the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) were released:
- A Consultation on the CRC Draft Order – is it just me or is there a ridiculous amount of consultations out at the moment!
- The draft CRC User Guide
Over the next few days/weeks/months (bare with me, there is some 300+ pages to get through) I hope to produce a few blogs on the CRC. Today’s is a brief overview of CRC: “What it is”, “Who it applies to” and “How it works”. Future blogs on the subject will go into deeper analysis and a critique.
